Accounts Clerk
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Preparation of statements for the Financial Services Commission.
- Assist with the [external] audit.
- Accounts receivables and Accounts payables
- Responsibility for bank reconciliations.
- Preparation of payroll deductions and data entry (PAYE and NIS).
- Responsibility for the preparation of staff payroll.
- Responsibility for the printing of cheques.
- Assist members with queries relating to loan applications, withdrawals and other disbursements, receipts, membership applications and KYC information.
- Supervise operations in the absence of the General Manager in his/her absence.
- Assist with other administrative duties.
- Assist with the preparation for the annual general meeting.
- Identify when payments are missed to facilitate early actions against defaulters
- Other reasonable duties as assigned by the Board or General Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- University degree in Accounting/Business related field
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and or QuickBooks.
- Strong accounting knowledge with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to self-manage time and quality of work.
- Team player with strong inter-personal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and be able to prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage moderate stress.
