About Us

Origin

Through their purposeful endeavour, our founding on Friday, 30 September 1983, became a reality with the signing of the certificate of registration, formally bringing the credit union into existence. This group of persons were all employees of the then Parks and Beaches, now The National Conservation Commission. The founding members, with their vision, led from the front and steered the credit union in a direction where it could grow and develop in a sustainable manner.

Initial Offerings

The credit union began with just 46 active members and assets valued at $10,427. Despite its modest beginnings, the foundation was laid to serve employees with access to financial services tailored to their needs, rooted in the principles of co-operation and member development.

The Endeavour

Over the years, the credit union has overcome economic challenges by adapting and finding new ways to support its members. Through dedication and resilience, it has grown steadily from 46 members to over 600, and from modest beginnings to assets surpassing $10 million. This progress reflects the enduring commitment to our founders’ vision: to provide meaningful, empowering service that helps our members reach their fullest potential.

The Future

We’re embracing technology to empower every member, streamlining finances, transforming meetings, and preparing all of us for a rapidly evolving world. Now is the moment for youth to join the movement; with fresh ideas and bold innovation, we will make our credit union the place where the next generation thrives and leads.
